I have added this blog as I believe parish records should be freely available on the internet, we all enjoy our hobby and in my opinion it shouldn't be about profiteers, making their crust. It is a hobby after all and we all have limited money to pay for a hobby, we have other life commitments. Some of the Leicestershire Marriage records are freely available to download from the www.archive.org a great website to find many parish registers for the UK, out of copyright. When I started my family research back in 1999 there was nothing a part from the IGI to help me with my family research, I purchased records on CD and also records on Microfiche to find out more about my Leicestershire family history, so this is why I am sharing the records I have and also records which other family researchers have shared with me over the years.
